Following a delay to commencement of the Waikawa North West marina construction due to COVID-19, the works to construct the reclamation along the western side of Waikawa Marina begin this week. The reclamation construction will take four to five months to complete. These works include the bulk fill placement and rock armouring that will progress in parallel to ensure we protect the reclamation as it is formed.
Please be aware of increased traffic along this area, including some large trucks.
This week we will see the re-establishment of a site office and machinery at the Northern end of Waikawa Marina Trust (see image below). There will be no public parking in this area, Waikawa Marina Trust berth holder parking will remain unaffected.
