Marlborough Sounds Marinas Spring Twilight Series Final

It has been a nail-biting few weeks at Waikawa Boating Club – while the Spring Twilight Series has been underway. The final is tomorrow evening.
While nothing is over till it’s over, currently it’s looking like Bill Richards Flying Tiger will take out the top spot in Division One, as they are 8 points ahead of Ash Davey’s Northern Rebel who would have to finish very well for this to change.

Division Two is very close with Ian Michels’ Playwright and Paul Tredinnicks’ Acquiesce on equal points, although on countback Acquiesce is in the lead. They are both well in front with 8 points back to 3rd then 5 to 4th.

Division Three is also a tie for first with Acamar (Greg Cornish) and DaVision Bell (Janette Burrows/Neville Langdon), Acamar taking the top spot. Again 8 points back to 3rd is Blaze Away then 3 back to Supertramp.

It will be very interesting to see what the wind conditions are like on the night.

Over the 10 races the best 8 results count and in the case of a tie, the boat with the most wins is in front. At present after 9 races, the 2 discards have been applied so it will all come down to the finishing places tomorrow night.
