With construction underway on the Waitohi Ferry Redevelopment Project, Marlborough District Council’s Harbours Team has installed navigational buoys marking an exclusion zone east of Port Marlborough’s No.1 Wharf located in Picton Harbour.

These precautionary zones are in place to help keep everyone safe — including the public, those working nearby, and the construction crews — so please take care and keep an eye out for the buoys when coming in and out of Picton in your vessel.

Signage is being installed at launching ramps, fuel jetties, and other key locations at both Picton and Waikawa marinas to ensure boaties are well informed.
