Race report from Waikawa Boating Club

The talk on the new club boat, Ray White, which is sponsored by Marlborough Sounds Marinas, was that it was going to be a tricky night. And so it was for Race 2 in the Marlborough Sounds Marinas Spring Twilight Series. Setting the course required some motoring around and spotting wind on the water to find a suitable course and eventually it was an out and back x2 course.

The weather added another dimension with pouring rain, sunshine, more rain and freezing temperatures, more sunshine, and rainbows… but very little wind!

Back at the club, it was another well-attended night with many crews lapping up the $15 dinners and $5 wine and tap beer.

Division 1 – Rapport (for the second week in a row), Khamsin and Flying Fox

Division 2 – Tiamana, Freaky and Phantasea
