Marlborough Sounds Marinas Spring Twilight Series 2018/19 – Race #6
Race 6 of the Marlborough Sounds Marinas Spring Twilight Series featured stronger than forecast easterlies enabling Race Officer Mike Underwood to set a longer course for the fleet. With the breeze remaining firm and consistent across the race period the opportunity was there for skippers and crew to show that their performances in race 5 were more than a one-off.
In Division 3, Mark and Sue Altoft’s Davidson 35 Entertainer took line honours ahead of previous series leader Trevor and Linda Thompson’s Lotus 10.6 Key Largo 4 seconds clear of Buce and Sandy Lock’s Lotus 10.6 Sea Fox in third. On corrected time Alex Soper’s Hanse 345 Our Girl took the win just two seconds clear of Vanquish with Entertainer taking the final step on the podium twelve seconds behind Vanquish.
