Endeavour Inlet – Furneaux & Punga Cove Lodges
One of the great things about boating in the Sounds, is the range of hospitality options available within close range. If you’re not heading back to Picton or Waikawa Marinas in a hurry, you can look forward to stepping off your vessel onto dry land and into the arms of luxury for a good meal or even a Christmas or New Year’s Eve celebration with a difference.
We checked in with Furneaux and Punga Cove lodges to see what’s on offer this season:
Punga Cove
Punga Cove offers a range of accommodation options, a large floating jetty, and has a fantastic restaurant.
It’s one of our favourite places to step off the boat and enjoy some time ashore – and they will arrange moorings and tender transfers to make it easy. Punga’s Fern Restaurant offers beautiful food and sweeping views for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Its menu features fresh local cuisine – and even packed lunches. They are open on Christmas Day and when we checked in with them, had tables available to book for your celebration meal.
Bookings can be made online. To book a mooring call VHF 63. Its Boatshed Café and Bar will be open a little later in the season.
