Top of the South Marine Coatings has recently relocated from Greymouth to a new larger facility located in Havelock Marina.
Run by Greg McDonald and Keely Landon-Lane T.O.T.S Marine has a dedicated team that take pride in their work and strive to offer high-quality workmanship and attention to detail along with excellent communication with clients.
With over 30 years industry experience, owner Greg has always has been passionate about boats and started working for Jack Guard in Nelson after school and school holidays. Then in 1993 Greg started a boat building apprenticeship at Carey’s boatyard in Picton, working there until they closed in 2012.
Their new Havelock facility (former home of Sounds Shipwright Services) comprises of a heated 890m2 building – as well as a 3000m2 hardstand area – that allows them to provide year round services which include:
- Boat design and build
- Spray painting
- Defoul – antifoul stripper
- Repairs, maintenance & restoration
- Grooming & ceramic coatings
- Coppercoat application & reactivation
- Propspeed application
- Tool hire service
Greg and Keely are thrilled to begin this next chapter in their journey and have already breathed new life into lots of vessels since they opened their doors. With business going well they are looking to employ an additional boatbuilder / tradesman, check out the job listing here.
