The Marina 2 Marina event was held on Saturday 8th October, beginning at Picton Marina, and ending at the new finish line spot at the Picton Foreshore. Marlborough Sounds Marinas has been the headline and naming sponsor for this event since its inception nine years ago, and the various running and walking events begin at Picton Marina, with the half-way turning point out at jetty 12W at Waikawa.The Marina 2 Marina is one of our more visible and local, annual sponsorships. We especially love this local event as not only does it showcase our marinas – but the proceeds are distributed back into our local economy to the groups who volunteer to make the event a success!

Marina 2 Marina is a scenic annual running event in the heart of the Marlborough Sounds. This unique competition utilises the picturesque trails between Picton, Waikawa and Anakiwa. With a variety of walking or running courses to choose from, the Marina2Marina event is suitable for all levels of fitness and is a great day of fun for the whole family, with some amazing prizes on offer!

The four courses take you through native bush and along waterfront trails. A key feature is the panoramic views of the Marlborough Sounds that this event provides. You will finish at the event hub on Picton waterfront where a festival atmosphere will welcome you home.  2022 was a fantastic event – and make sure you check out the courses for next year and register early!
