Ignite Marlborough – 31st December 2017

Marlborough’s official New Year celebration is back! Join us at the Picton Waterfront on the 31st December to ring in 2018, at Ignite Marlborough.

This is a family friendly event, with the Interislander Kid Zone running from 7pm until 10pm on the Picton Foreshore. The Kids Zone includes a heap of inflatables, mini magic shows, balloon modelling, giant bubbles workshops and performances.

The main stage is located at the Town Wharf area in Picton Marina, (accessible via London Quay) and will host a number of visiting bands who will play into the evening. The night culminates at midnight with the Port Marlborough Fireworks Extravaganza over Picton harbour.

Entry is free.

Picton Maritime Festival – Saturday 20th January 2018

A nautical themed fun, free day for all the family! The 13th annual Picton maritime festival is geared up to be the best yet. Activities are on offer all day for all the family to enjoy, as well as a market, entertainers on the main stage and food stalls.

Pre-register for the Marlborough Sounds Marinas Raft Races – grab a team and try your luck in the trusty mussel floats (paddles supplied!)   More practical seafarers, gather your crew and enter in the “Build a Boat” category for the raft race – all materials supplied on the day to build your very own craft.
