Steve has been a long time member of the Marlborough Sounds Marinas team, you may have seen him in Picton or Waikawa previously – now he’s living the dream, overseeing the operations in Havelock marina.

Marina Service Manager - Picton

Mark oversees the day-to-day operations at Picton Marina. You’ll find him at the Picton Marina Service Centre on the marina side of the Coathanger Bridge.

Marinas Customer Service Manager

Originally from Hawkes Bay, Louise joined the team in 2021 as Marinas Customer Service manager after a long stint in Aussie. Louise manages the administration and customer services for all three marinas. Louise loves getting out into the Sounds whenever she can with the family, and they are all partial to a bit of fishing and enjoying local hospitality at the numerous waterside lodges in the Queen Charlotte Sound.

Dave relieves across all three marinas, has been with us for a while, and he knows a lot about the marinas and Marlborough Region. Dave is a keen yachtsman, and always up for a yarn.

Graeme is integral to the team overseeing the day-to-day operations at Picton and Waikawa marinas.
You’ll find him at the Waikawa Marina Service Centre behind the Waikawa Marine Centre or at the Picton Marina Service Centre on the marina side of the Coathanger Bridge.

Waikawa Operations Manager

Grant joined us from a marine industry background in the North Island as a Hardstand Manager. He originally came onboard as a relief service manager and worked across all three marinas. In 2020 Grant accepted the promotion to Waikawa Operations Manager. Grant has built strong relationships with his work colleagues and customers alike and has an excellent understanding of marina operations.

Dockmaster 2IC

Blair recently joined the Marinas team from H&S at Port Marlborough. Blair has brought a lot of knowledge to the Marina from this role, also from having skippered at Marlborough Tour Company. Blair enjoys the mix of outdoor and office-based work and the people he works with and meets in the role. Outside of work Blair enjoys diving and spending time with his children.

Anne has been with Port Marlborough since 2019 and enjoys her role at the Marina getting involved in the world of boating and meeting the marina customers and of course working with a great team. In her spare time she enjoys time with her dogs, boating and feeling lucky to be living in the amazing Marlborough Sounds.

Gary comes from an extensive Sales/Customer Service background. He likes the Sounds and what it has to offer so much he built a house looking into the Bay close to the Marina. Gary enjoys meeting knowledgeable boating people and hearing the stories behind their boats.

Marinas Services Support

Pete has a wealth of knowledge from operating pilot vessels, working on harbour tugs, boat broker, Outward Bound instructor, skipper, the list goes on. Pete is a long-standing team member at Waikawa Marina having been here since 2015. In his spare time Pete enjoying reading, cooking, music and yachting.

Eden joined the team earlier in the year coming from background in hospitality. Eden loves her job as it’s very diverse and the change of career path challenges her which she enjoys. Eden likes staying active and running around after her two boys, along with volunteering at the Picton Fire Brigade.

Waikawa Boat Yard Manager

Darren is a proud Picton local, who knows the travel lift and marina like the back of his hand. Ever practical, he is well-liked by all marinas customers, always happy to help with a smile!
In his spare time, Darren is a volunteer fire fighter with the Picton brigade, and keen fitness enthusiast, you'll often see him out cycling with his dog running alongside!

Waikawa Boatyard Operator

Shayne works alongside Darren and Maddox on the hardstand, previously a netmaker. Shayne likes the smalltown vibe rather than the big city and enjoys working on and riding motorbikes.

Maddox joined us recently from a background in forestry. He loves living in his hometown with its great community. Outside of work he spends time hunting, fishing, diving and working out at the gym.
