Waikawa Marina is one of the largest marinas in New Zealand, with an impressive 600 berths, 128 individual lock-up boat sheds and several secure storage compounds. The marina provides excellent opportunities for those who want to participate in serious or social racing activities.

It boasts a full range of on-site marine services and facilities including a café and bar, restaurant, video surveillance and security patrols, enclosed compounds for trailer and boat storage and an on-site Marina Customer Service Centre. Waikawa Marina’s full list of facilities:

  • Electricity
    230 volt, single phase, 10 and 16 amp.
  • Water
    Town water supply to all berths. Please assist us to maintain our precious water supplies by conserving water over the summer months.
  • Ablution Blocks
    Clean, plentiful, fully accessible ablution block facilities are provided on the east and west sides of the marina. Showers are coin-operated.
  • Laundry
    Coin-operated washing machines and dryers can be found in the laundry at the Marina Service Centre on the east side of the marina.
  • Marina Service Manager
    On site seven days per week; if the Service Centre is unattended, there’s a pager at the door or we can be contacted by phone.
  • Customer Service Centre
    Located on the eastern side of the marina, adjacent to jetty (1E).
  • Fuel
    Petrol and diesel is available from the floating fuel jetty; payment can be made by EFTPOS or pin-enabled Credit Card.
  • Sewage
    Please use the pump-out located on the fuel jetty- this is free of charge. Please don’t discharge blackwater or greywater into the marina; use your holding tanks or the on-shore facilities instead.
  • Waste Oil Disposal
    Disposal facilities are sited near the ablution blocks. Oil spill pads can be purchased from the Marina Service staff.
  • Rubbish Removal
    Please use the bins provided throughout the marina for general rubbish.
  • Lines Visitors
    If lines are provided, please don’t alter these. If they don’t fit, please use your own lines.
  • Long-term Berth Holders
    Please provide your own lines. Ask marina staff for help if required.
  • Carts
    Handcarts are available at the jetty gates for loading and unloading gear.
  • Car Parking
    Berth holders will be issued with a parking sticker; be sure display this whenever you’re using the berth holder car parks.
  • Security
    24-hour video surveillance and security patrols.
  • Telephone
    Card phone available beside Jolly Roger.
  • Internet and Photocopying
    See the team at the Customer Service Centre.
  • Payment
    Please pay at the Customer Service Centre before using facilities.
  • Launching Ramp and Tieup jetties
    Excellent Gobbi blocks launching ramp and tie-up facilities.
  • Night Navigation
    Navigation markers are provided for your safety.
  • Meals and Provisioning
    The very friendly Waikawa Boating Club is on site or see them on Facebook. The ‘Jolly Roger’ café and bar and the Spinnaker Restaurant are in the heart of the marina, and Picton township is just 4km away for a comprehensive services, shops and entertainment.
